I’m not much of a collector. No coins, no stamps, not really much outside of books on art and obscure DVDs, but if I were to start up a collection (check eBay, perhaps?) mine would be of Pacific Southwest Airlines memorabilia. I’m not sure if it’s our shared birthplace of San Diego or the airline’s unforgetable smile, but PSA is one at the forefront when I think back to yesteryear. Below I posted some photos that I have saved to my hard drive of the “brand” of PSA. I love the tacky color scheme, and of course the planes’ paintjobs, but I’m pretty sure I’m most fascinated by the focus placed on the stewardesses. Did they seriously wear outifts like that while serving travelers their pre-school sized orange juice and honey roasted peanuts?
